    Description

    Deionised Water, or DI water, is water that has had all (or most) ions removed. The ions present in water can often be picked up through soil, such as calcium or sodium. Ions Iron and Copper can also be picked up through the water pipes. Ions are a substance naturally present in water, filtering them out is a way of producing pure water.

    Deionised Water is also known as Pure Water, Purified Water, Demineralised Water, DI Water, and can also be alternatively spelt as De-ionised Water. In other regions it can also be spelt as Deionized Water with the letter Z replacing the S. Deionised Water is also known as Distilled Water, however, there's a slight different between the two and how they are produced, you can learn more about below.

    Deionised Water is ideal for laboratory use, food processing and cosmetics formulations as it doesn't have any potential contaminants that will shorten the lifespan of the final product.

    Electrical Conductivity 0,01 mS/m

    This is achieved by a seven-stage filtration system.
    Deionisation is achieved by means of a mixed bed resin deionisation filter.

    Deionised vs Distilled Water

    Is Deionised Water The Same As Distilled Water?

    Distilled water is not the same as deionised water. Distilled water has been boiled to create purified water free of contaminants and impurities like chlorine and dissolved solids. Deionised (DI) water, like distilled water, is also very pure. Where they differ is that deionised water is water that has had all the dissolved mineral particles removed from it.

    This means that it typically needs to be used in tandem with another type of treatment, such as Reverse Osmosis, to ensure that all contaminants are properly eliminated from it.
